Apryl started out as a medical examiner, as she was employed in that sector. Then, she decided to pursue a music career. She gradually discovered her musical talents, and then joined the group of girls Callareign. Her new career began here. Apryl relocated from Los Angeles because she was driven and passionate. Since both the group members moved the group was bound to disintegrate. the group of girls would break up. After moving she made her appearance on the reality singing contest American Idol' but she failed to make it to the top. Apryl was also a contestant on Making the Band but it was not a success for her. Apryl tried out for Pussycat Dolls on Search For The Next Doll. Apryl did not get chosen because she didn't make an impact on the panel of judges. She was introduced to a famous artist who was on tour with him to serve as an assistant singer. They decided to join the cast of VH1's hit series Hollywood. The premiere episode focuses on their pregnancies and the birth of Megaa Omari. In the second season she reveals the conflicts regarding her work and fears which accompany her newfound fame. Omarion was touring and Apryl didn't accompany him to the reunion filming. Apryl was informed on December 7 the 7th of December, 2015. that Omarion and Apryl had quit their show. Apryl's daughter A'mei Grandberry was born on 7 March 2016. Apryl, Omarion and their daughter A'mei Kazuko Grandberry declared that they'd broken in a matter of four months. Apryl was a guest on season 4, meeting with Lil' Fizz to discuss a potential B2K reunion. Apryl was back on the show for season six, chronicling her custody dispute with Omarion and the speculation in the press and scrutiny around her relationship Lil' Fizz. In season six of Apryl, she and Lil' Fizz acknowledge they share an intimate relationship which results in her conflicting with Moniece.
