Pickler's childhood was a rocky one. For the sake of leaving an abusive relationship, her mother left when she was just 2 years young. Her return to Pickler's world in 1995 when she took custody of her. But it wasn't an enjoyable time for her. Pickler was then 12 years old and was returned to her parents by the judge. They raised her till she was old enough to be an adult. Pickler with the help of her parents and older siblings, became too busy to have a family. She admitted that she didn't have time to go to classes and started how to be a homemaker in the early years. Pickler was on the teams that cheered for both high school and middle school. North Stanly High School, where she graduated in 2004 it was her high school. Pickler is also a beauty pageant contestant. The title was Miss Stanly Country.
